Ask a Stupid Question...

You know, sometimes I think CNN is the devil. Have I mentioned that? They create these attention grabbing anxiety producing headlines that either make me flat out angry or scared and ready to build a bomb shelter. I have a love/hate relationship with their site. I go to it five times a day sometimes and half those times I leave because there isn't anything truly "newsworthy", I'm mad, or I just have to laugh. So, here are some of today's headlines and my quick answers. These headlines are phrased as questions, so they just beg to be answered, right???

Should Casey Anthony testify?
Well, do we want her to get away with murder or not? Yes, she should have to testify. Of course she should! Sorry Mr. Defense man. You're the one who is the defense attorney, sucks to be you in this case.

Taliban back in town?
Did they ever leave?

Evangelicals having optimism gap?
I'm not evangelical, but based on some of the strict word-for-word interpretations I've heard, I'm sure they are. Not to knock their beliefs, but I'd be depressed too.

Is that your puppy or your panda?
Who cares! I want him!
China's latest craze: dyeing pets to look like other wild animals

Newsroom: New York to Dubai in 20 minutes?
Please refer to above headline:: Taliban back in Town?

Extremism in Pakistan Military?
I'm sorry, is this a question?

Obama ready to support gay marriage?
Perhaps. There's a lot of talk about gay marriage lately. Depending on where you stand on that issue and where you stand on President Obama, I'm sure you have a very passionate answer.  My answer, sure.

Nick and Vanessa: 'Newlyweds, 2012'?
Who the hell cares? Oh wait... Jessica Simpson. And pretty much just Jessica Simpson.

Is LOST actor legally wed?
Again... who? What? Who cares?

Do I have gout or tendinitis?
Does your shoulder hurt? I don't think you can get gout in your shoulder, but then again, I'm not a doctor and neither are the thousands of people commenting on your question.

There are more, but you understand where I'm coming from. And... if you really want to get mad, read the comment section. There are more comments that will make your blood boil than you ever thought possible.

These are the people that make me want to start my own country where you must pass a common sense test to enter. Thanks a lot CNN, you've just made me almost Confederate. {See, I always knew I was supposed to be from the south. Wait... Evangelical? No. South? Yes. Confederate? No. Common Sense States of America. Yes!} Please, I beg of you, if you have the stomach to respond to stupid headlines, use your brain as well as the tact that I'm sure you possess somewhere. You know about tact, right?

I bet this person is a frequent commenter. Nice... *deported*

Case and point. Thanks baconbaggle.com

  1. Ha! Love the image, news website commenters are the devil. I think Jon Stewart had a point when he claimed that the media's bias is neither liberal nor conservative, rather sensationalist and lazy.

  2. Tell me how any attorney would want to defend Casey Anthony? I'd just let say let's shoot her and get over with it. What a waste of taxpayers money #1 and #2, what rights did that sweet little girl have?

  5. About the only one I got concerned about was the "Lost Actor" one...because he supposedly married a 16 year old...in which case EW NOT OKAY! (in my book, maybe not yours)

But, I'll admit, I have a fascination with the Casey Anthony trial because the defense's case amuses me so. It's like you can see the lawyers grasping at straws to try to make a case.
